Any club that finishes in the top four from the previous years National Championship will receive an automatic bid to the next higher age group the following year.

If an automatic bid recipient qualifies from the 2010 District tournament advancement structure, the automatic bid may be used by the club to advance another team from their club in the same age/grade division. If the club does not use the automatic bid to advance another team from their club, the bid will revert to the District to be awarded to the next highest place team not otherwise qualified.

The quarter final round in each district tournament will determine the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th place by draw unless those games are played.

If there is a Division 3 qualifying tournament at the district level all teams advance to the Division 3 National Championship.

All teams advance in the 8u and 19u age divisions to the National Championship.

National Rule Changes

1. Reduce warm-up times from 15 to 10 minutes and half time from 10 to 8 minutes

2. Rename 16/u Division to "The junior Division"; the 18/u division to "The Senior Division" and the 19/u to the "Open Division".

3. National Championship Division II - increase number of "pick ups" allowed from three (3) to five (5).

4. Once a team qualifies for a National tournament, the athlete on their roster cannot play for another team in the National Championship. If her team declines the bid and does not attend Nationals, she may be picked up by a team that is attending from her District or adjoining District.
